Makoto_photoDrum&Bassのミュージカル・サイドを代表するレーベル〈Good Looking Records〉の専属アーティストとして98年にデビュー以来、ソウル、ジャズ感覚溢れる感動的な楽曲を次々に生み出し、これまでに、2枚のアーティス トアルバム『Human Elements』(2003年)、『Believe In My Soul』(2007年)、その他Innerground,Creative Source,Bingo,Hospital,CIA,Liquid VなどのUK主要Drum&Bassレーベルより、12インチシングル、EP、リミックス、コンピレーションへの参加などで数々の楽曲を発表して いる。DJとしては、1stアルバムを発表後、これまでに世界30カ国、100都市以上を周り、数千、数万のクラウドを歓喜させ、その実力を余すところな く証明し続けている。まさに日本を代表し、世界的にもDrum&BassのトップDJ/Producerである。

Based in Tokyo, Makoto Shimizu, better known as simply Makoto, is Japan’s chief Drum & Bass ambassador. After completing an Acoustic Engineering major at Nippon University, Makoto first signed with LTJ Bukem’s legendary Good Looking Records back in 1999.
Since then he has gone from strength to strength, releasing a long string of quality music in the form of singles and EP’s, but also on the famous ‘Earth’ and ‘Progression Sessions’ compilation albums. 2003 saw the release of his much anticipated debut album ‘Human Elements’this album was widely praised as the transition of 70’s Soul into the 21st century. also “Progression Sessions Japan Live 2003″ with Deeizm, recorded live from Space Lab Yellow in Tokyo was an absolute gem.

Makoto is now ready to spread his wings. With both remixes and original music already out or set for release on labels such as Innerground, Creative Source, Hospital, Liquid V and Bingo as well as a second album ‘Believe In My Soul’ has been released on Good Looking in 2007, the future is looking bright for the Tokyo native.

As for deejaying, Makoto, together with Deeizm MC has travelled across the world (the U.K., Europe, America, Brazil, Australia, Asia and Japan are just some of the places they have visited) and has become one of the most sought-after deejays on the Drum&Bass circuit.Makoto’s sets are characterised by the same jazzed-out and soulful music that he is known for as a producer.

I would like to ask you one thing the next podcast are what is possible to mix pieces with traditional Japanese drum & bass and yet I wish that you autographed for me its …………… thank you ……. good luck you are the best
